Artist Statement

I base my practice on personal memories and lived experiences, focusing on imagination and the act of attempting to see what exists between things that can and cannot be seen.

Fragments of memory and emotions are assembled on flat surfaces and extended into space, allowing the paintings to emerge as spatial installations. By inviting viewers to peer into, approach, and step into the work, I aim to create an experience that extends beyond the visual — one in which viewers can layer their own memories and emotions onto the work.

The ambiguity and fragility that accompany the process of understanding, as well as the unstable position from which we experience the world, are reflected in my choice of materials and composition. Through spatial encounters with paintings, I seek to connect personal memory with collective sensibilities, exploring the relationship between “the act of seeing,” “what is seen,” and “what remains unseen.”
